Abacus Builders was contacted to update the look, feel, safety and functionality of a 60s-70s era bathroom in N. Indianapolis, Indiana.
Abacus Builders replaced the outdated tub unit with a sizable, secure shower stall with grab rails for added support. Custom Tile work and Rain-glass door unit gives the space a high-class feel and offers superior moisture protection.
This Seniors' Bathroom in N. Indianapolis, Indiana was severley outdated. All plumbing fixtures needed replacement, along with electrical system upgrades for protection and functionality (GFCI circuit, Venting, Lighting).
Abacus Builders replaced the aged sink unit with a free-standing modern pedestal sink with new Moen fixtures and side storage. Electrical system was updated for safety and convenience. New tile flooring was installed to complete the look.

Customer contacted Abacus Builders and asked Howard to Design and Construct a One-of-a-kind 3-Season Room.
Shown here is the foundation and floor system support girders.
Customer's request was realized by Howard's design of an enlongated 'gazebo'-type structure. The natural elements will be included, yet kept at bay by adding single-hung windows and a vaulted ceiling.
Maintaining the 'gazebo' theme, Howard and his team frames the complex roof system.
Ceiling is finished in Toungue & Groove pine selected for it's great looks and durability.

Weeks later, Howard and his team had designed and built the Finished Screen room you see here upon the existing concrete slab which was made more functional by adding the adjacent deck.
Project included all designs, plans, permits & cleanup.

Company Owner, Howard Schwimer directs and oversees every project from start to finish. Officially, his position is that of General Contractor.
While in the project estimation or planning stages, Howard will meet personally with the customer, listen to their wants and needs, provide design, product ideas, suggestions and samples. Howard also invites and accompanies customers to local product showrooms. Howard then consults with his team of long-term (20+ years) associate sub-contractors to determine the best, most affordable course of action.
Howard utilizes his life-long ability as an expert draftsman to design and draw the plans for the project and presents the final project proposal to the customer.
Once the project begins however, his role becomes that of "Project Manager".
Howard will be on the job daily to ensure all work is going according to plan and that no detail or customer request is left incomplete.
